Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 May 2026
By using Wealthy Employee ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Nature of the Service
Wealthy Employee is an information and calculation tool. It provides tax calculations, strategy comparisons, and educational content about tax-advantaged savings vehicles in the United Kingdom, United States, and Canada.
The Service does not provide regulated financial advice, tax advice, investment advice, or any form of professional advice. All calculations, projections, and recommendations are for informational purposes only. You should consult a qualified financial adviser, tax professional, or accountant before making financial decisions based on information from this Service.
2. Accuracy of Calculations
We make reasonable efforts to ensure our tax calculations reflect current published rates and rules from HMRC (UK), IRS (US), and CRA (Canada) for the supported tax years. However:
- Tax rules are complex and change frequently. Our calculations may not reflect the most recent changes, amendments, or individual circumstances not captured by our inputs.
- Projections of future wealth, portfolio growth, and asset values are estimates based on assumed growth rates. Actual results will differ.
- We do not account for state/provincial taxes (US/Canada), local taxes, or jurisdiction-specific rules beyond the federal level unless explicitly stated.
- The Service does not account for your full financial picture. Factors like existing debts, other tax liabilities, benefit entitlements, and personal circumstances may materially affect outcomes.
Wealthy Employee makes no warranty that its calculations are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
3. No Professional Relationship
Use of the Service does not create a financial adviser-client, accountant-client, or any other professional relationship. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (UK), Securities and Exchange Commission (US), or any other financial regulatory body.
4. Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the financial information you enter.
- You are responsible for verifying any calculation results with a qualified professional before acting on them.
- You must not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to tax evasion.
- The strategies presented by the Service describe legal tax-planning methods. Tax avoidance is legal; tax evasion is not. You are responsible for ensuring your actions comply with applicable law.
5. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by Wealthy Employee. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without written permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Wealthy Employee and its operators shall not be liable for:
- Any financial losses, tax liabilities, penalties, or damages arising from reliance on calculations, projections, or recommendations provided by the Service.
- Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the tax rules, rates, or calculations encoded in the Service.
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Any loss of data, including data stored in your browser's localStorage.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wealthy Employee, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
9. Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
10. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
