Wealthy Employee ("we", "us", "our") operates the website wealthyemployee.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

When you use the tax calculator, you enter financial details such as your salary, bonus, pension contributions, housing costs, and household composition. This data is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
1.2 Automatically collected information
We may collect:
- IP address and approximate location (country/region level)
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages visited, time spent, and referral source
This data is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).
2. How We Use Your Information
- Tax calculations: your financial data is processed entirely in your browser or via our API endpoints to produce tax breakdowns and strategy recommendations. We do not store your financial inputs on our servers.
- Service improvement: aggregated, anonymised usage data helps us understand which features are used and where users encounter issues.
- Advertising: we display ads via Google AdSense, which may use cookies to serve personalised ads based on your browsing history. See Section 4.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your financial data is stored in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device except when sent to our calculation API endpoints, which process the data in memory and return results without persisting any input. Our API endpoints are served via Cloudflare Workers with HTTPS encryption in transit.
You can delete all your stored data at any time by clicking "New calculation" in the dashboard, which clears your browser's localStorage for this site. You can also clear it via your browser settings.
4. Cookies and Tracking
4.1 Essential cookies
We use Cloudflare's security cookies to protect the site from malicious traffic. These are strictly necessary and do not require consent.
4.2 Advertising cookies
Google AdSense may place cookies on your device to serve ads and measure ad performance. These cookies may track your browsing across other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or via our cookie consent banner.
4.3 Managing cookies
You can control cookies through our consent banner shown on your first visit. You can also manage cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features of the Service.
5. Third-Party Services

Since your financial data is stored only in your browser, you have full control. Clearing localStorage or clicking "New calculation" exercises your right to erasure.
